Street Sweeping
|
Locality streets are swept regularly according to the street sweeping schedule found on this website.
Residents are encouraged to co-operate with us by removing their vehicles or leaving some space from the pavement when parking their vehicles, when the street is to be swept, so that the sweeper can sweep properly.

Locality Meeting 2007
|
The Balzan Local Council will be holding it's Annual Meeting as provided by the Local Council's Act XV of 1993, at Aurora Hall in Main Street during the month of January 2007. Further details will be given in the near future.
During the meeting the public will have the opportunity to forward suggestions for the budget of the financial year 2007/08.

Tender for the Collection of Household Waste
|
Balzan Local Councils notify that:-
Sealed tenders will be received at the Balzan Local Council Office, 153 Main Street, Balzan by not later than 10.30a.m. on Friday,1st December 2006, for:-
Collection of Household and Commercial waste in Balzan for a period of one year commencing on the 1st January 2007.
Tender documents together with the relative conditions, may be obtained against a fee of Lm25 from the Balzan Local Council office and may also be inspected for free during office hours as from Monday, 13th November 2006.
Tenders should be made on the prescribed forms and will be opened in public at the closing date and time at the Balzan Local Council Office, 153 Main Street, Balzan. Gieh Hal Balzan Honours Nominations
|
For the 5th time running, the Balzan Local Council is inviting you to nominate persons for the honour Gieh Hal Balzan. The honour, in the form of a gold lapel badge of the Balzan coat-of-arms and a certificate will be presented to those who in the opinion of the adjudicating committee give a good name to Balzan or who contribute to the common good of the locality or who work for balzan residents.
Nomination forms are available from the local council office and must be submitted to the Executive Secretary by not later than noon on Friday, 2nd February 2007.
Honours will be presented during Balzan Day Activities on the 15th April 2007.

Influenza Vaccine
|
|
A record number of residents, 154 persons over the age of 55 were vaccinated against influenza on Monday, 30th October 2006 after arrangements to have the vaccine administered in the locality were made by the Local Council.
