Residential Parking Scheme
|
The Balzan Local Council will be carrying out an exercise so as to be in a position to apply to the Malta Transport Authority for the installation of a Residential Parking Scheme in the following streets: Balzan Valley (between Main Street and Dr. Zammit Street), Dr. Zammit Street (between Balzan Valley and Pope Pius XII Street) and Guzeppi Frendo Street.
This exercise will serve as a trial so as to assess the problems that may arise from the implementation of such schemes.

|

The Fourteenth Meeting of the Fifth Council will be held on Wednesday, 11th January 2006 at 3.00pm. Residents may attend all Council meetings but may not interrupt the meeting.

Gieh Hal Balzan
|
Nominations for the honour, Gieh Hal Balzan for the year 2006 will be received on the appropriate forms which may be picked up from the Local Council office, 153 Main Street, Balzan and deposited there, by not later than Friday, 24th March 2006.
The Honour will be presented on Balzan Day. Further details of the Balzan Day programme will be available in the near future. Balzan Day falls on Sunday, 23rd April 2006.

Il-Kunsill qed jinnota problemi ta' flow tat-traffiku fi Triq Qarċilla bejn Triq San Frangisk u Triq il-Kannizzata kkawzata minħabba parking fuq iż-żewġ nahat tat-triq fi triq li hija dejqa wisq biex tieħu parking fuq iż-żewġ naħat u sewqan fiż-żewġ direzzjonijiet.
Il-Kunsill qieghed jaghmel konsultazzjoni mar-residenti dwar jekk iridux li t-triq tibqa two-way u jekk LE lejn liema direzzjoni tippreferu li jkun is-sewqan, jekk hux lejn Triq il-Kannizzata jew lejn Triq San Franġisk.
Qed issir konsultazzjoni ukoll dwar jekk il-parking ghandux jibqa fuq iż-żewġ naħat tat-triq u jekk LE fuq liema naha jippreferu li jsir il-parking?
Il-Kunsill qed jitlob li r-residenti jibgħatu l-kummenti tagħkom sa nhar il-Ġimgħa, 6 ta’ Jannar 2006.
