Tender re Balzan Playing Field and Public Conven.
|
Tenders are being requested for The Upgrading of the Balzan Playing Field and the Construction of a Public Convenience’ - B.P. 1/05.
Detailed specifications, copies of which may be obtained on the payment of Lm10, may be inspected during normal office hours free of charge from Monday, 10th October 2005.
Sealed tenders may be deposited only between 9.00am and 12.00pm (noon) during office hours in the tender box at the Council office by not later than 11.00am, on Friday, 28th October 2005. Tenders will be opened in public on the closing date at 11.00am.
The Council reserves the right to refuse even the most advantageous offer.

Influenza Vaccine
|
The Department of Primary Health care announced that the influenza vaccine in now available at specific health centres. Balzan residents may receive the vaccine at the Birkirkara Health Centre.
The vaccine will be distributed as from Thursday, 6th October 2005 and can be taken until December.
Persons entitled to receive the free vaccine may do so on weekdays from 10.00am to 1.30pm and on Saturdays from 9.00am to noon.

Blood Donation Unit
|
The Blood Donation Mobile Unit will be parked in front of Maltanet in Main Street on Wednesday, 5th October 2005 between 8.00am and 1.00pm.
Healthy persons who wish to donate blood should be between 18 and 60 years of age (17 year olds may donate blood with their parents' permission). The donors should present their identity card.

Halloween Night
|
The Subcommittee for Activites of the Balzan Local Council will be organizing a Halloween Night Party at Aurora Hall in Main Street on Saturday, 29th October 2005 between 6.00pm to 8.00pm. Tickets at Lm1.50/person are to be picked up by not later than the 15th October 2005 from the Local Council.
On Monday, 31st October 2005 at 4.30pm a Trick or Treat will be organized. Children attending must book beforehand, at the Local Council office on 21442323, and will be accompanied by the subcommittee members. Children should be at the Playing Field by 4.15pm.
