Call for Tenders for Road maintenance
|
Tenders are being requested for the provision Upkeep and Maintenance of ‘Access Roads’and ‘Access only and Pedestrian Streets’ - R. M. 1/05.
Detailed specifications, copies of which may be obtained on the payment of Lm10, may be inspected during normal office hours free of charge from Monday, 25th July 2005.
Sealed tenders may be deposited only between 9.00am and 12.00pm (noon) during office hours in the tender box at the Council office by not later than 11.00am, on Friday, 12th August 2005. Tenders will be opened in public on the closing date at 11.00am.
The Council reserves the right to refuse even the most advantageous offer.

Commemoration: Guze Cassar Pullicino
|
The Balzan Local Council is organizing an evening in honour of Prof. Guze Cassar-Pullicino, the renowned scholar of Maltese language, history and folklore.
The event is being held on Tuesday, 12th July at 7.30pm in Three Churches Street, Balzan. There will also be an exhibition on the work of Cassar-Pullicino in the old chapel of the Annunciation, in the same street.

Feast of the Annunciation
|
The Balzan Local Council wishes to thanks all persons involved in the organization of the local feast, Our Lady of the Annunciation, especially the two local band clubs and Parish for their co-operation whilst carrying our street decorations and the organization of activities that lead up to the Feast.
The Council would like to thank the Presidents and all members of both band club committees for the time and effort they dedicate to make the feast a success year after year. The Council appreciates the voluntary work carried out by all the persons involved and is always ready to offer it's co-operation so that the feast is a success both with residents and visitors alike.
Let the feast be one marked by moderation and genuine enthusiasm that brings us together as a community.
The Balzan Local Council wishes all residents and visitors a happy feast.
