Consideration of Proposal to re-direct traffic
|
The Council would like to receive feedback from those concerned, regarding a proposal received from residents, to decrease the volume of traffic coming from Gulju Cauchi Street to the village core.
The proposal is to place No Entry signs in Sir Antonio Micallef Street at the corner with Gulju Cauchi and Dun Gwann Zammit Hammet Street so that vehicles coming from the Birkirkara Bye-pass will NOT pass through the village core. This measure, if implemented will mean that Dun Gwann Zammit Hammet Street will become a one-way street, towards Sir Antonio Micallef Street. Sir Antonio Micallef Street between Balaguer Street and Gulju Cauchi Street will also become a one-way street going towards Balzan Valley.
Those who wish to voice their comments are most welcome to do so, either by giving their opinion on this website, through the OPINIONS option or by writing to the council.
The Council will not be implementing this measure unless it is convinced that it is for the common good.
This is a consultation process, an opportunity for residents to give their comments before the Council takes a final decision.
