Restoration of Aqueducts
|
An Aqueducts Restoration Project, a joint venture between the Local Councils of Balzan, B'Kara, Attard, St. Venera and the Ministry for Resources and Infrastructure; is to start very soon. The ministry will be paying for all labour costs while the Local Councils will be supplying all the material needed.
Works to be done include cleaning of the stone fabric from all soiling and metal inserts, removal of cementous plasters and treatment and removal of biological growth.
This should be considered as another step towards better preservation and appreciation of our country's cultural and historical heritage.
