Music Courses from April at Palazzo de La Salle
The Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce will be organising Music Courses in Piano, Guitar, Violin, Voice and Theory of Music from April for the 3rd Term (April – June 2010). All the courses will be held at Palazzo De La Salle, 219 Republic Street, Valletta, from Monday to Saturday, and each course will run over 10 sessions. The morning sessions are held once a week at an agreed time between 9.00am and Noon. For those who choose the evening sessions, also once a week, the time will be between 3.00pm and 8.00pm, again at an agreed time. Music courses will take between 45 minutes and 60 minutes each session. Anyone over 6 years of age can apply for these courses.

Is-Socjeta’ Maltija tal-Arti, Manifattura u Kummerc se torganizza Korsijiet tal-Muzika tal-Pjanu, Kitarra, Vjolin, Vuci u Teorija minn A|pril bhala t-Tielet Term (April – Gunju 2010). Il-korsijiet kollha jinzammu gewwa Palazzo de La Salle, 219 Triq ir-Repubblika, il-Belt mit-Tnejn sas-Sibt, darba fil-gimgha ghal 10 gimghat konsekuttivi. Dawk ta’ filghodu jkunu f’xi hin stabbilit bejn id-9am u nofsinhar. Dawk ta’ filghaxija jkunu f’xi hin stabbilit bejn l-4.00pm u t-8.00pm. Il-korsijiet tal-muzika jiehdu bejn 45 u 60 minuta kull sessjoni. Kull min ghalaq is-6 snin jista japplika ghal dawn il-korsijiet.

A Number of Art Courses from April
The Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce will be organising Art Courses (3rd Term: April – June 2010) from April. Courses are held at Palazzo De La Salle, 219 Republic Street, Valletta, once a week. The Society holds both morning and evening sessions. Each course will run over ten sessions of two hours each session. Anyone over 6 years of age can apply for these courses. Courses are intended for pensioners, adults and children. The courses include Art, Art 50+, Clay Sculpture, Egg Art, Floral Art, Manga Art, Portrait/Figure Drawing and Painting, and Stone Sculpture. All courses fee is €21 except for the Portrait/Figure Drawing and Painting (€70 for 9 sessions), Stone Sculpture and Clay Sculpture (€25) both courses include the material.

Nominations for Gieh Hal Balzan Honours
For the 9th time running, the Balzan Local Council is inviting you to nominate persons for the honour Gieh Hal Balzan. The honour, in the form of a gold lapel badge of the Balzan coat-of-arms and a certificate will be presented to those who in the opinion of the adjudicating committee give a good name to Balzan or who contribute to the common good of the locality or who work for balzan residents.

Nomination forms are available from the local council office and must be submitted to the Executive Secretary by not later than noon on Friday, 1st April 2011 at 12.00pm.

Honours will be presented during Balzan Day Activities, that is on 1st May 2011.
