Payment of Rents on Government property:- Payments are accepted at the Local Council’s Office daily during office hours (Summer: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 10.30am, Winter: Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 11.00am, Monday and Wednesdays, 3.30pm- 4.30pm).

Trading Licenses Payment:- Trading Licenses may be renewed at the Local Council’s Office hours (Summer: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 10.30am, Winter: Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 11.00am, Monday and Wednesdays, 3.30pm- 4.30pm). The renewal notice is to be presented to effect payment.

Educational and Cultural Outings:- These visits are organised every second Thursday of the month. More details are displayed on the Council’s notice boards and from the Local Council’s Office. Residents are urged to book early.

KartAnzjan:- The Local Council is responsible for the distribution of the KartAnzjan Card within our locality. Our elderly residents are kindly requested to refer any queries to the Local Council. Applications for the replacement of mislaid KartAnzjan cards can be obtained from the Council. The KartAnzjan Cards are distributed to clients one week before their 60th or 75th birthday.

Complaints/Suggestions Handling:- Residents who wish to lodge a complaint/forward a suggestion to the Local Council or to a Government Department are requested to contact the Local Council. This process involves: Registration of complaint/suggestion, Verification, Reference to the concerned authorities, Feedback.

Street Lighting:- When reporting a burnt-out lamp please include the 3 digit reference number placed on most lamps e.g. W013/24.

Upkeep of Roads:- The Local Council is responsible for the upkeep of all the roads within our locality

Playing Field:- We invite you to visit this recreational area situated in Guze Bonnici Street.

Public Convenience:- The public lavatory is situated under Joseph A. Stellini Garden in Main Street and is opened daily including Sundays and Public Holidays.

Permits covering the undermentioned are issued upon application to the Local Council:-Organisation of outdoor activities held in the locality, the placement of skips, placement of mobile kiosks (during the village feast), placing of tables and chairs, deposit of cranes and other construction machinery/equipment, the deposit of material in the street, the placing of kiddie ride machines and vending machines, permits for the trenching of roads, the placing of stalls and kiosks and permits to perform other road works in the locality.

Free internet service available from the Council's Office on the following days:-
Summer: Monday – Friday between 8.00a.m. and 1.00p.m.
Winter: Monday – Friday between 8.00am and 12.00p.m.and between 2.00pm and 5.00p.m.

If assistance is required one should book beforehand to check if service is available. Normally the service is provided Monday – Friday between 10.30am and 11.30am.

Activities

Outings for the elderly to various locations around the island in both Malta and Gozo.

Participation in the competition Sebbah Pajjizek – the second prize was won by Ms. Monica Chetcuti for the category “L-Isbah Faccata ta’ Dar”.
The Council won the second prize for the year 2000 regarding “l-Ahjar Sforz ghat-Tindif (category B). The organisation of Lejla Valentina, F’Gieh Hal Balzan, Jum Hal Balzan, Lejla Balzanija and the annual concert (in conjunction with the Parish).
